New to trad climbing and not sure where to start? Our Intro to Traditional Climbing courses are designed to introduce you to outdoor trad climbing in a calm, supportive, and enjoyable way.
This is a friendly, low-pressure introduction to placing gear, building anchors, and moving safely on real rock—focused on understanding the fundamentals and building confidence from the ground up.

When?
Typically courses at How to Climb are all bespoke, however we occasionally run open intro courses with set dates. These are great if you want to learn new skills and meet new people. This year our open intro course dates are;
May 2-3rd (weekend) - £300pp
May 11-1th (5 days midweek) - £600pp
July 21- 25th - £600pp
July 25-26th - £300pp
September 14-18th- £600pp
