Personal Responsibility

Finally, when you book onto one of our courses you are accepting responsibility for your actions as outlined in the BMC participations statement below.

The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.

In line with this statement we reserve the right to end a session early or ask an individual to leave a session if we feel they are putting themselves or the group at risk. The same applies for participants being disruptive or discriminatory to other participants or the instructor. Moelwyn Mountaineering reserves the right to charge customers for equipment that is damaged due to misuse or lost.

Further Costs

On some occasions when it is not possible to climb outdoors or the instructor feels the weather will significantly impact the quality session or course, we will move indoors for part or all of the day. If this does happen the cost of wall entry will be covered by the activity participant. Options for the day will be discussed with you  by the instructor, however if safety is the reason for going indoors, the instructors decision is final.
